Reserve a Table at the Drifty

We have a range of dining spaces for you to dine in here at the Driftwood, from traditional pub, the old world vaulted roof of the top bar, child friendly Starboard quarter and the light & airy Seaview dining room.  Please see descriptions & photo below to help make your decision where you would like to dine.  Seasonal opening applies to some areas.  If you’re struggling to book online please call us on 01872 552428 (option1).

Main Bar

The historic heart of the pub and a temple to great beer! People have gathered in our cosy bar for a drink, a chat and to warm up by the log burner since time immemorial. No under 14s permitted unfortunately, but four-legged friends can keep you company whilst you enjoy a pint or two.

Starboard

This relaxed, family-friendly space is perfect for catching up with friends. Little people can be kept entertained at the table with colouring, family games and our excellent Children’s Menu. And you’re welcome to bring the dog to snooze by the log burner while you relax.

Top Bar

Dine beneath the ‘spars’ or beams of our 400-year-old pub in the atmospheric top bar, with it’s vaulted ceiling and cosy mezzanine. This quieter space is ideal for couples or smaller groups, though older children and well-behaved dogs are welcome. Perfect for a relaxed lunch or dinner.

Bistro

Our light, bright dining room has impressive views over Trevaunance Cove and plenty of space for larger groups. Soak up the sea views and enjoy our seasonal menus packed with local produce. Children are welcome in the Bistro. Dogs are not permitted in this space.

Lower Beer Garden

Home to the Crib Shack and located in and next to the Driftwood Spars car park. Here you can enjoy takeaway coffee and a scoop of ice cream. The lower beer garden is ideal for a pint in the sun or a bite to eat, enjoying the sea breeze and the fantastic views of the cove. This area is ideal for families who want to be outside enjoying the lively atmosphere on a sunny day. Dogs are welcome in the lower beer garden – where you will find a Dog bar serving Adam’s Ale. For 2021 due to Covid-19 this garden has been extended into our carpark so plenty of space to relax.

Cliffside Garden

Located on the southwest coastal path up a steep slope you will find our new beer garden for 2021. This area has been upgraded during lockdown 3.0 to allow more customers. When the Garden is not used for private functions it will be open for a cheeky pint in the sun. The Cliffside Bar serves a reduced drinks list delivered direct to your table – customers will be able to order takeaway food which is collected from a drop point half way down the coastal path. Live music on Sunday’s between 3.30–5.30pm from 23rd May to end of September (weather dependent).
