Bonfire Night at The Driftwood Spars, St. Agnes

After a couple of years without a Bonfire Night celebration due to Covid-19, we’re excited to say that this year we’ll be dancing around the bonfire once again! We’re looking forward to hosting you for a classic Cornwall firework and bonfire party on Saturday 5th November, from 5.00pm to 11.30pm.

It’s free entry on the night, and there will be a firework display with a bonfire lighting up Trevaunance Cove here in St Agnes. Expect live music, a children’s entertainer, fire dancers and jugglers, delicious food and our small batch beers, other drinks and more!

There will be an official road closure in place along Quay Road & Rocky Lane from about 5.30pm on Saturday. The St Agnes Sports Club will be used for Park & Ride to bring people down to the cove. The village minibus will pick people up from the Sports Club, The Taphouse and St. Agnes Hotel and will operate in a loop, dropping people down by the pub until approximately 9pm. Donations will be taken for the drivers.

During the road closure we will be letting blue badge holders park in the cove. The Reppers Coombe Council car park and the local improvements car park will be open, however anyone parked there will not be able to leave until the roads reopen. The Driftwood Spars car park will be closed for the fire. Please park responsibly in St. Agnes so emergency vehicles can still get through if required.

We’ll have a BBQ on the go, which will be raising funds for our chosen charity this year, The Mermaid Centre. A hog roast and crepes will also be available.

Children’s entertainer Tarquin will be on hand to keep kids happy and The Roustabouts Collective will be fire juggling. There will also be upbeat  live music with The Strutts until 11pm.

We can’t wait to see you there and we’re crossing our fingers for dry weather!
